Paulette Thomas on the Draft Law on Increased Sentences for Rapists and Murderers

Representative Paulette Thomas spoke to us about the draft law that seeks to increase penalties in cases of sexual violence, modifying articles of the Penal Code. Thomas said that she is seeking expert review to strengthen the draft law.

This draft bill seeks to provide citizens with a public list of abusers, rapists, and abusers, etc. This request has so far been obtained through a series of complex procedures.

In addition, penalties should be toughened and there should be no possibility of reaching sentencing agreements in cases of sexual crimes.
