The first vice president of CongressPatricia Juárez, participated in the 62nd edition of CADE Executives 2024where he spoke about the situation of the various State institutions and made a mea culpa for “not being up to par.”
Look: President will not attend CADE Executives
“We cannot have a Public Ministry that simply ignores the rules that Congress, in the exercise of its powers, approves. We cannot have a Judicial Branch that, through amparo actions, paralyzes any type of decision that Parliament has made. We have a National Board of Justice that in recent times has acted as if it were another power of the State, and we have a Constitutional Court engrossed in its own internal problems, added to a Congress of the Republic, and here I have to make a mea culpa, why not We have risen to the occasion despite the good intentions,” he said.
Added to all this, expressed the Fuerza Popular legislator, is the Executive that “has been on autopilot for a long time.”
In that sense, he pointed out that there is a serious absence of institutionality and pointed out that some institutions claim to have limited autonomy, which is why they do not respect and take into account that a democratic system is sustained by an exercise of checks and balances.
On the other hand, Patricia Juárez stated that bicameralism will bring “political and economic stability” to the country. He indicated that this is one of the most important reforms that have been approved in the country. Likewise, he recognized the “serious problems” that exist in the country such as corruption, citizen insecurity, scarce resources to combat illegal mining, among others.
