The congresswoman from Fuerza Popular and president of the Congressional Constitution Commission, Patricia Juarez, asked the president Pedro Castillo to give a message to the Nation to confront “terrorist acts throughout the country.” In his social networks he indicated that a firmer attitude of the Executive is needed in the face of social conflicts that “keep private investment away.”
“Faced with these terrorist acts throughout the country, an urgent message to the Nation of President Pedro Castillo, cannot be silent and absent in the face of such serious events that keep private investment away and generate instability in the country”, wrote.
The publication of the legislator, it is worth mentioning, is accompanied by the news about the burning of five vehicles and a guard house in the Caña Brava company camp, in the La Huaca district, Paita province, Piura region.
Antamina case
This case is added to the strike that occurred in the Aquia area, Ancash region, where the Antamina mine operates, led by a group of community members from the area. Faced with this situation, the company announced this Sunday the suspension of its operations in the area.
The rural community of Aquia began protests demanding that the mining company that operates the largest copper and polymetallic deposit in Peru withdraws from the territory.
According to the community members, the company incurs “illegal usurpation of land and breach of its social responsibility.” Other towns in the mining corridor have joined the protest.
