The main objective of the Civic Service is to offer a concrete alternative so that young people can resume their studies, access a job and build a future with order and real opportunities. The minister He stressed that joining the program will be voluntary, allowing participants to enroll of their own free will. The program will be implemented in 11 cities in Argentina, where it is expected that there will be a good reception by young people.
Participants will be summoned by the Undersecretary of Employment and Labor Training, prioritizing proximity to the headquarters of the Ministry of Security. At the end of the program, the profiles of young people will be evaluated to guide them towards job or educational opportunities.
The Civic Service will offer training workshops that will culminate in recognized certifications. These workshops will include topics of health promotion, vocational guidance, immersion in the educational and work world, leadership and teamwork.

The Voluntary Civic Service was created through resolution 598/19, published in the Official Gazette on July 16, 2019, during the government of Mauricio Macri. At that time, the program was under the orbit of the National Gendarmerie and was designed as a tool to provide training opportunities to young people through democratic and republican values.
The plan included the promotion of personal and community commitment, responsible habits, encouragement of the completion of the mandatory educational cycle and the promotion of the development of work, cultural, trade and sports skills.
