As announced last week, from 6:35 am this Tuesday, members of the Committee of Victims and Relatives Poisoned by Diethylene Glycol, closed the Inter-American Highway at the height of Divisa.

The demonstrators demand that the National Government give them the certifications, medicines, in addition to requesting an increase in pensions.

Until now, people have kept the four lanes of the road closed, preventing the free movement of drivers.

María Elena Pascual Rodríguez, chapter president of the province of Coclé, said that the protest obeys unfulfilled promises “since there have been 15 years of pain and suffering.”
