Because they are considered maneuvers or old work methods, this is why they end up evolving or changing so that they “better serve” everyone, so in Paraguay there was what is known as “educational reform.” One that for some critics, beyond reforming education, what it did was distorted by the result that we see in “the children of the reform.” We also have serious problems in the tertiary training of doctors, many times treated by their elders as slaves and humiliated during their period of specialization in hospitals where all kinds of complaints have been made and some who could not bear the humiliation: they killed themselves.
Now, from France, a recent proposal in the field of educating well is a reality. It consists of integrating patient-teachers in medical schools so that they can better train doctors in preparation. To “work” in a country with many patients who in turn serve for the real and effective training of important people for other people.
A professor from the Sorbonne-Paris-Nord de Bobigny University, a group of patients, doctors and university pedagogues called, in a forum, to review in depth the education of the future with a characteristic emphasized in health professionals relying on patients all in order to improve the service or medical attention that we all deserve to have when entering any clinic or health care center.
