Santo Domingo.- The Health Pastoral of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo is in mourning upon reporting the sad death of the renowned and appreciated Dr. Architect César Iván Feris Iglesias, who was director of the School of Training of the Health Pastoral and vice-director of the Pastoral Commission.
Sister Trinidad Ayala Adames, general coordinator of the Pastoral Health, stated: “Since his voluntary integration in 2005, Architect Feris Iglesias played a fundamental role in the community, dedicating his time and effort to the direction of the School of Pastoral Health. Under his leadership and uninterrupted work, he held 11 graduations of the diploma in Pastoral Health with more than 5,000 volunteer agents graduated, belonging to various parishes throughout the national territory, health centers of the network of the ecclesiastical entity and hospitals, strengthening the mission of care and spiritual support for needy patients and their families.”
“Arch. Feris Iglesias will be remembered in the Pastoral of Health for his high ethical and moral values, among these his unwavering faith and optimistic perseverance, his sense of fidelity and tireless dedication and advocacy in various sectors of society to benefit patients from fragile social groups,” said Ayala.
His unwavering commitment to the mission of Pastoral Health leaves an indelible mark on those who had the honor of knowing him and working alongside him, whose contributions continue to favorably impact the user populations of the ecclesiastical entity in search of health and physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
“In these moments of profound sadness for the passing of Dr. César Iván, which occurred yesterday, the Pastoral de la Salud raises prayers for his eternal rest and sends its condolences to his distinguished wife Ingrid Paiewonsky de Feris; to his children Rosalía, Ricardo Alberto and César Iván, and other loved ones,” said Ayala Adames.
“He will always be remembered with joy and gratitude for his invaluable contribution and for the example of life he left us,” she stressed.
