The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Colombia reported this Friday, January 20, that the system for issuing passports is presenting failures in its operation.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the Directorate of Information and Technology Management is working to solve the problems presented.

The inconvenience is registered in the offices that are located in Bogotá, so if you have an appointment to pick up your document, you must be patient while the problem is solved.

For now, it is advisable to pay attention to the social networks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for further updates on the situation.

Keep in mind that for those of legal age, the delivery of passports is done personally. The holder must present the valid citizenship card, password or document in process of citizenship card.

For minors, the passport will be delivered to the father, mother, legal representative or attorney who carried out the process with the minor. This person must identify himself with a valid citizenship card, password or documents in process of the citizenship card. You must also present the minor’s identity card or birth certificate.
