Passarino evaluated the 2025 management as “very positive” and anticipated a 2026 full of works

In dialogue with EL ECO, the nationalist Passarino highlighted the close nature of the management and the permanent link with the neighbors. “You walk on the street all the time, talk to people of all ideologies, listen, and that is very valuable. I have seen that people perceive this management as close, very involved in all aspects,” he stated.

The mayor stressed that, despite it being a short period, the municipality worked comprehensively in areas such as “sports, culture, support for students and public works. You do not have to settle or believe too much, but believe in management and not give up. Momentum is key to going from less to more,” he said, while saying goodbye to the year “with great joy” and with the “support” of an active and participatory community.

A summer with a strong cultural imprint

Looking ahead to the start of 2026, Passarino anticipated a summer with multiple activities. One of the main bets is the public swimming pool in the Plaza de Deportes, which already “has more than 400 registered.” In addition, on January 3, the season will begin with a popular show that will have Matías Valdez as the main figure, accompanied by local artists.
In that sense, the mayor stressed the importance of continuing to work “next year promoting events to promote more local artists.”

Works: a “very loaded” year of interventions

In terms of infrastructure, Passarino assured that the works planned for 2025 were carried out and that this year a strong pace of work will continue. Among the planned projects are “new stages of curbs and ditches, paving, patching, sanitation and repairs in central areas. We are talking with a company that is going to carry out repairs on existing curbs and ditches, especially on accessibility ramps that are deteriorated. There is a lot ahead and that is very positive, because when you do work, people live better,” he emphasized.

Looking to the future and political maturity

Finally, Passarino reflected on the personal and political process he is going through in this new management period. He recognized greater maturity and a more ambitious vision. “Before, one was more conformist, I thought that you couldn’t think big. Today I understand that yes, you have to think about important things and execute them.”

With an optimistic balance and an agenda full of challenges, the mayor of Nueva Palmira projects a 2026 of growth, “community participation” and consolidation of “an active and present municipality.”
