Last March, Dilian Francisca Toro, sole director of the U party, led a meeting in which her bench decided to seal the support for the presidential campaign of the former mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez, winner of the Team for Colombia consultation, which she also supported.
“Let’s talk about the transformations that Colombia needs; only possible by working together for the well-being of the people. That is why from the bench of the Partido de la U we reiterate our support for ‘Fico’ Gutiérrez,” Toro said at the time.

Despite this party decision, this week a video was released in which the councilor of Guadalupe, Huila, Margery Calderón, openly supports the candidacy of Gustavo Petro and Francia Márquez.
