President Luis Arce highlighted this Saturday on his social networks the arrival in the city of Puerto Suárez of part of the material that is needed to complete the construction of the Mutún steel complex, also assured that “soon” everything necessary will arrive to complete this work .
“Our work for Santa Cruz does not stop! We received, from Ilo, 26 trucks with equipment and metallic structures for the construction of the Mutún steel complex, ”Arce published.
These trucks with construction material arrived from the port of Ilo and a larger number is in Peruvian territory ready to be transferred to Puerto Suárez, according to the president.

The construction of the Sideriurgica plant was reactivated in June of this year, after being paralyzed by the transitional government of Jeanine Añez. On the day the project’s continuity was announced, Arce assured that it will go into production in 2024.
“The civil works and assembly of equipment will conclude at the end of the year 2023, and then start with the respective operational tests and begin with the production and sale of steel in the first months of 2024,” said the president in June of this year. .
Regarding the materials that still have to arrive, Arce also detailed in this Saturday’s publication “74 more trucks will arrive soon to complete the 1,750 tons of material it requires.”
