This Wednesday, the study of the bill known as “Paz Law” began in Parliament, whose objective is to facilitate access to assisted reproduction treatments. The proposal, promoted by the deputy of the Colorado Party María Eugenia Roselló, seeks to recognize assisted reproduction as a right within the framework of reproductive health.
One of the main measures of the law is to allow both public and private sector workers to be absent from their work to undergo assisted reproduction treatments, without affecting their employment situation. The project also aims to reduce the economic and administrative barriers that many people and couples face that wish to access these treatments, promoting equal opportunities in the reproductive field.
