“The vote was unanimous and co-sponsored by the five commissioners, which makes the next final vote a formality,” the Miami newspaper said about the proposal, launched by Commissioner Joe Carollo.
The new Inter Miami stadium will bear the name of Miami Freedom Park and will be one of the facilities that will be inside the park that will bear the name of the creator of the Cuban American National Foundation (CANF).
After months of deliberations, the construction of the new Inter Miami stadium was approved on April 21.

The total cost of the project will oscillate between 300 and 350 million dollars, all by private investors.
El Nuevo Herald indicated that Jorge Mas and his brother José R. Mas, co-owners of Inter Miami, are currently working on the remodeling of the land near the Miami International Airport (MIA).
