MADRID, Spain.- This Monday, August 5, a total of 10 Cubans will compete in the seventh day of the Paris Olympic Games.

Among the Cubans representing other countries, volleyball player Wilfredo León started the day leading Poland to a victory against Slovenia (3-1).

Cuban-born Turkish Yasmani Copello will compete in the first round of athletics in the 400 meters. Meanwhile, sailor Pedro Luis Fernández, representing Puerto Rico, continues to advance. On August 5, he will compete in races 9 and 10 of the dinghy category.

At 9:00 am, in Greco-Roman wrestling (130 kg), Yasmani Acosta representing Chile will face Bulgarian Kiril Milenov in the round of 16.

Finally, closing the day for the Cubans, volleyball player Yoandy Leal will seek to lead Brazil to victory against the United States in the quarterfinals.
