Panamanian athletes Atheyna Bylon (Boxing) and Kristine Jiménez (Judo) have already met their rivals at their respective technical congresses held prior to the opening of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In the -75kg category, Atheyna Bylon will face Valentina Khalzova of Kazakhstan in the round of 16. The fight will take place on Wednesday, July 31 at 2:36 pm. The winner of this fight will face the winner of the fight between Elzbieta Wojcik of Poland and Aoife O’rourke of Ireland in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, judoka Kristine Jimenez will face Muna Dahouk from Syria who competes under the Refugee Olympic Team. The fight will be on July 29 in the -57kg weight class, with the fights starting at 3:00am Panama time.
The winner will face Christa Deguchi from Canada in the next round, who has won the World Judo Championship in this -57kg category.
