More than 1,200 students from the Colegio Integral de Perené have to continue conducting their classes in prefabricated classrooms due to the delay in the construction of the new educational infrastructure. Faced with this problem, dozens of parents arrived in Huancayo to protest in front of the Regional Government of Junín (GRJ).

“Four years ago the work began through a consortium. Then it was paralyzed by the covid-19 pandemic, and the work was resumed, however it was suspended again a few months ago and in April it was resumed until this Monday when the work was paralyzed due to lack of materials, ”said one of the parents. , Freddy Rojas.
Among the protesters, there were also workers, who were harmed by the constant interruptions.
“The work is valued at more than 22 million soles. They only told us that there are no materials and we must stop, we have no other answer, supposedly this project must be completed in December of this year, but at this rate we will not be able to finish it”, they commented.

For several hours they remained outside the headquarters of the GRJ, a group of parents, representatives, entered to be attended by the officials on duty.
The work would be currently being carried out by the direct administration of the GRJ itself, there is a commitment to restart its execution after the improvised solution.
