Popular Action congresswoman Karol Paredes criticized the recent appointment of another official who records complaints of violence against women in government palace. This is Jorge Alva, the new Secretary General of the Presidential Officewho has a police record for assaulting his wife.
In this regard, the legislator rejected that the president peter castle has reappointed a person with complaints of family violence in key positions such as the General Secretary of the Palace. In that sense, he questioned the president’s choice of his trusted official.
“It is unacceptable that Pedro Castillo continues to appoint personalities to public positions and, above all, to key locations. with complaints of family violence, as is happening now with Jorge Alva, the new secretary general of the Presidential Office. Regarding the case, Jorge Alva was denounced by Lourdes Rubio, his spouse, on October 9, 2013. She stated that she was victim of physical and verbal aggression by the now General Secretary of the Palace, in addition to being forced to leave her home.
Five years later, on March 1, 2018, Rubio Castro assured police officers, who had gone to Alva Coronado’s home, that he continued to be the victim of physical, psychological and verbal attacks.

Jorge Alva Coronadothe new secretary of government palacehas sent a document last Wednesday, March 16, in which it requests the personnel who work in the Executive entity and in nearby areas to make their position available.
Among them is included Beder Camacho Gabea, deputy secretary general of the presidential officewho is being investigated in the Shadow Cabinet case.
“I am writing to you cordially and in my capacity as secretary general of the Presidential Office (…) to request that you present to this office your letter of disposition of the position of senior managers as holders and/or managers,” Alva Coronado said in an official letter.
