The Brazilian team ended the stage of the Paralympic swimming World Series in Lignano (Italy) in first place on the medal table after winning two more golds this Sunday (12). With this, Brazil ended the competition with 13 podiums (nine gold and four silver).

The first gold in Brazil this Sunday was achieved by Gabriel Araújo in the 50-meter backstroke class S2 (severe physical-motor impairments). The man from Minas ended the race in 54s82, to end his participation in the competition with five first places, in addition to breaking the world record in the 50-meter butterfly and the record of the Americas in the 50-meter freestyle.
The other Brazilian achievement came with Gabriel Bandeira, in the 100-meter butterfly race in the S14 class (for athletes with intellectual disabilities).
Now, the Brazilian Paralympic swimming team travels to England, where it will compete in the Sheffield stage between the 16th and 19th of March.
