Santo Domingo.- After Migration agents arrested a group of people who were sharing in a Haitian food restaurant in Santiago on Friday night, the former Haitian consul, Edwin Paradise complained about it.
On his Twitter account, Parison questioned the solidarity of the Dominican Republic, and said that there are hundreds of restaurants of other nationalities in the country.
“DR land hospitable has Chinese, Italian, French, Venezuelan, Colombian restaurants etc… In the case of the Haitians at the end of the ’80s we had «Le Trianon» on the ave. Independence. Today they must be about 10 of international standard. This is sad…” he wrote.
The former consul described the event as “painful” and recalled that in the 1980s there was “Le Trianon” on Independencia Avenue, a Haitian restaurant of international standard.
