The Pynandi are undefeated champions! The Paraguayan beach soccer team defeated Peru on Thursday by a categorical 11-4 on the last date and won the gold medal at the Odesur ASU 2022 Games.
Before a massive presence of the public in the World Cup stadium of the Olympic Park, the Albirroja knew how to unlock a tense start to the match in which it was 0-1 and 1-2 down.
But then came the spectacular reaction thanks to a hat-trick by Carlos Carballo, two braces by Mathías Martínez, Milciades Medina and Jhovanny Benítez, in addition to other goals by Valentín Benítez and Néstor Medina for the lapidary and definitive 10-4, which sealed the Pynandi’s perfect campaign with only wins (12 points) in four games.
Thus, Team Paraguay avoids going blank in harvests on the sixth day of the Asunción 2022 Games and wins the fifth gold medal in the medal table.
With this, the national delegation adds 20 medals in total: five golds, nine silvers and six bronzes.
