A Paraguayan woman was arrested in the act by the Federal Police (PF) this Saturday morning (13), at the Cataratas International Airport, in Foz do Iguaçu, trying to board a flight to Madrid with 3,320 kilos of cocaine.
The drug was located by federal police during a routine inspection. The cocaine was hidden in the lining of a backpack checked in by the passenger. The flight would still make a stop in Paris, the French capital.
The Paraguayan was taken to the Regional Police Station of the Federal Police, in Foz do Iguaçu. According to the PF, she will answer for the crime of international drug trafficking, whose penalty can reach up to 15 years in prison.
