In addition to the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, the president witnessed about two hours of parades that took place after 10 in the morning in the town located in the department of San José. The interim mayor of San José Amalia Echeverrigaray described the meeting as “very emotional.” “The entire community is very integrated as it was from the beginning of the agricultural community,” explained the interim mayor and stated that in this framework the president was very close to the residents.
There were parades of schools, the army, and horses that came from all over the department. “All the residents were able to express what they do,” explained Echeverrigaray.
