Olympique de Lyon (OL) has reached an agreement to sell its star player, the Brazilian Lucas Paquetá, to the English West Ham for 60 million euros -including incentives.
The Brazilian, who is about to turn 25 and is a regular with his national team (33 appearances), has a contract with Lyon until 2025. According to the sports newspaper L’Équipe, the midfielder will sign a five-year contract with the Hammers, until 2027.
Paquetá was transferred in January 2019 in exchange for 38.5 million euros from his former club, Flamengo, to Milan.
A year and a half later, OL paid 20 million to sign the player, who in the last two years has become a reference for the French club, in which he has played, to date, 80 games, scored 21 goals and given 14 assists. EFE
