“Paper Girls”, the Prime Video series that wants to become the new “Stranger Things”

Prime Video is looking for its own “Stranger Things effect” with the premiere (July 29 of this year) of its new series: “Paper Girls”.

The production, based on the comics of the same name written by Brian K. Vaughan and drawn by Cliff Chiangand published between 2015 and 2019, is set in the 80s.

It tells the story of Erin, Mac, Tiffany and KJ, four teenage paperboys. who, on Halloween 1988, live a traumatic experience: they travel through time.

During his adventures, the four girls will meet the members of two warring factions of travelers for control over time, and they will have to deal with their future versions.

During its publication, the “Paper Girls” comic won several awards: three Eisners. In addition, it was nominated for the Hugo Award for best graphic story.
