After the call issued by the Colombian Geologist Services to Cortolima to provide information of the constant emission of gas and ash which presents the Nevado del Ruiz volcano in the territory, the mayors have reacted with great concern considering the winter wave they are going through.
In the municipality of Lebanon they have the concession of the route of road alternatives which leads directly to Manizales and passes very close to the snowy. “At a given moment when it will be a question of taking out communities in the Murillo sector to provide support in Lebanon, we would not have any problems,” said Mayor Jesús Antonio Giraldo.
In the last weekly bulletin presented by the Colombian Geological Service, dated November 8it was reported that the Nevado del Ruiz volcano continues to show instability in its behavior, which was evidenced through images captured by the cameras installed in the area of the volcano, which confirmed gas and ash emissions associated with some seismic signals.
