Panelas of marijuana from the stranded peñero continue to appear

Another six panelas of marijuana were located on the Eastern Coast of the Paraguaná Peninsula (Falcón), coming from a boat that ran aground last weekend, according to military sources.

The six wrappers yielded a weight of 6 kilos 168 grams. With this, there are 119 panelas from the nameless peñero that was stranded in the Mata Gorda sector, Paraguaná Peninsula. The batch of drugs totals 104 kilos 833 grams, according to reports.

When the boat ran aground, its five occupants fled and were later captured by agents of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).

The peñero came from the Colombian Guajira and they presume that it was heading towards the Caribbean islands with a previous stop in Güiria (Sucre).
