The administrator of the Panamanian Passport Authority, Omar Ahumada, revealed that this Wednesday that since January of this year, online payment was implemented, after a deficiency was registered in the procedures of Panamanians outside the country who had the need to send a responsible person to pay the entity.
He explained that from January to date more than a thousand transactions have been registered, which has represented for the National Treasury a little more than $75 thousand in procedures that have been carried out such as renewal of passports, safe-conducts and certifications issued by the institution.
Ahumada stressed that with these implementations, people save themselves from forming long lines and the time for this type of procedure is shortened.
He reiterated that online payment is made through the web portal of the Passport Authority and for appointments they must download an application from the mobile phone.
