The country will build the Panamanian Sports Hall of Fame, this seeks to inspire and motivate young nationals and from other latitudes to cultivate some sporting discipline, the work will cost 14 million dollars.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), through the Administrative Unit of Reverted Assets (UABR), assigned the Panamanian Institute of Sports the farm on the Amador land, Ancón district, a few meters from the Panama Convention Center to the construction of this project.
According to the authorities, this will contribute to the strengthening of Panamanian nationality around the world, having sport as a tool for social transformation.
Pandeportes must start the execution within a period of three years, counted from the present notification. It will also be responsible for the protection, rehabilitation, maintenance, decoration, and cleaning of the assigned assets, as well as the green areas near them.
Sports glories such as: Roberto “Manos de Piedra” Durán, Jorge Dely Valdés, Carlos Lee and Irving Saladino, participated in the presentation and awarding event of the Hall of Fame estate.
