Fencing athlete Arturo Dorati told us about his experience in Lima, Peru, where the men’s team won a historic team gold medal in the epee event, while Alessandra Aicardi won the bronze medal in the women’s individual epee event.
The fencing team that made history with this first gold medal in this type of tournament was made up of Arturo Dorati, José Quirós, Johan Achurra and Juan Culiolis, while their coach is Jorge Valdés.
Also participating in the women’s category were Nivia Díaz and Beverly Romero, along with Alessandra Aicardi in teams.
