Panamanian engineering student stands out at NASA

The student of the Engineering School of the Universidad Latina de Panamá, Krystel Villarreta, had the opportunity to be the only one selected worldwide for the Global Winners 2021 for being one of the winners together with her scientific team of the Space Apps Challenge 2021 , organized by the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

The mission of the Global Winners, dubbed Horizon 2022, is to enable representatives of various international communities and organizations to conduct research on a zero-gravity parabolic flight.

The scope of this activity crosses borders to share knowledge, which is why NASA Space Apps & Second Muse previously teamed up with Aurelia Institute, a non-profit organization that has dual pillars in research, habitat development and education. space, to offer the Zero-G partnership opportunity to other leading STEAM outreach programs.

For Panama and for the university community, it is a pride that Panamanian students manage to develop experiences in their academic area at an international level.
