An international tour that seeks to finalize the purchase of medicines, launching the decree that repeals the executive decree that allows the opening of the medicine market, will be carried out by the Health authorities and part of the Panamanian diplomacy, as revealed Yina Román, planning director of the Social Security Fund, highlighting that this tour will start in Turkey.
Román said that this tour will be focused on countries with high international standards in terms of medicines and that are endorsed by agencies such as the FDA, from the United States, and EMA, from Europe.
Román added that the tour will begin this October 1 and will continue in India and the United States, where they will visit laboratories in Miami, Utah and New Jersy.
He indicated that the tours will serve for Panama to carry out the articulation with laboratories and pharmaceutical companies that comply with all international standards and requirements for the purchase of medicines.
He added that pharmaceutical experts who will be on the tour will verify that the medicines meet the requirements demanded by Panama.
In addition, he highlighted the importance of verifying the quality and price of medicines that will be purchased abroad.
