The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, participated in the start of the works for the comprehensive remodeling and equipment of the structure that will house the new and modern Boxing Training Center that will bear the name “Land of Champions”, in homage to all the world champions born in Panama.
According to the president, this center will be located in the Cinta Costera, and will be built with an investment of B/.7.5 million, generating around 300 jobs, the work is expected to be completed in 14 months, which would imply an inauguration in December 2023.
“It will be a world-class gym that will serve as a hotbed to promote the search for excellence, discipline, perseverance and love for sports in our young people,” the president stressed.
