Panama U-17 Men’s Team travels to Guatemala in search of its ticket to the World Cup

After five days of concentration in Penonomé, the Panamanian Under-17 Men’s Team is ready to travel to Guatemala to be present at the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship.

Panama’s debut in the U-17 World Cup is scheduled for this Saturday, February 11, in an important match against the host Guatemala, in a match scheduled for 8:00 pm (Panama time), at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores National Stadium , from the Chapina capital.

Juan Jiménez, defender of the Panamanian team, stressed the importance of that first game in statements after training in Penonomé.

“It’s an important game, it’s the first game where many things are defined,” Jiménez said.

“We know we have to go strong, Guatemala is a country that has been preparing well, but we trust ourselves and we can win,” added the CD Plaza Amador player.

Once installed in their concentration hotel in Guatemala City, the Panamanian team is scheduled for this Friday to recognize the field in the afternoon at the Guamuch Flores National Stadium.

Let’s remember that the other two matches of Panama U-17 in group E are this Monday the 13th against Curaçao and on Wednesday the 15th against Mexico, both at 5:00 pm (Panama time) on the same stage of their debut.

The top three from each group advance to the next phase of the round of 16.
