This Wednesday, May 17, Panama became the second country in Central America, after El Salvador, to have access to the Starlink satellite Internet of the SpaceX company of tycoon Elon Musk.

This was announced by the President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo, assuring that “this innovative technology contributes to the multiple actions that our government promotes to expand connectivity and bring high-speed satellite internet to different areas of the country.”

The president extended his thanks to businessman Elon Musk “for the trust placed in Panama,” and for helping to reduce the country’s digital divide.
