With both female and male representation, Panama will participate in the Maurice Revello 2023 Tournament, as confirmed by the Executive Committee of the Panamanian Soccer Federation, after the excellent participation and performance shown in the 2022 edition.
The Federation explained that for the men’s tournament, they will allow players who are between the 2001-2004 categories, while for the women’s tournament they will be able to participate with players from the 2004 and 2005 categories.
The women’s tournament, called the Sud Ladies Cup 2023, will take place in May in the city of Avignon, while the men’s tournament will take place in June in the city of Toulon.
According to Miguel Zúñiga, Secretary General of FEPAFUT, being able to confirm from now on that Panama will be in the Maurice Revello in 2023 allows not only to plan these tournaments in advance, but also to guarantee the participation of two teams in the most relevant youth tournament to world level.
“This will allow us to continue with the current process of youth categories for the next few years, now including the participation of a women’s team, which allows us to affirm that for FEPAFUT women’s football is also a priority,” he said.
