Panama reports 7,502 positive cases, 20 deaths and 78 patients in the ICU due to Covid-19

The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health highlights that as of today 20 deaths are reported in the country’s hospitals as a result of Covid-19, of which 18 did not have the complete vaccination scheme against the coronavirus

The number of positive cases for Covid-19 for this Friday, January 28, account for 7,502 new cases.

Unfortunately, in the last hours, 20 deaths were registered, in addition, 4 from previous dates are updated for an accumulated number of 7,680 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%.

In the last hours, 24,691 tests were applied for a positivity of 30.4%.

In home isolation there are 78,349 at home and 269 in hospital hotels.

Hospitalized patients are 749 in the ward and 78 are in the Intensive Care Unit.

The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health highlights that as of today 20 deaths are reported in the country’s hospitals as a result of Covid-19, of which 18 did not have the complete vaccination scheme against the coronavirus.

Of the 18 deceased, 12 did not have any dose applied and six had a dose placed, as confirmed by the report.
