Panama reports 11,519 positives, active cases total 62,918 and 55 patients in ICU for Covid-19

The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health reports for this Tuesday, January 18, 591,843 cases accumulated by Covid-19, of which 11,519 turned out to be new positive cases.

Unfortunately, in the last 24 hours, 13 deaths were registered, in addition, 4 deaths from previous dates are updated for a cumulative total of 7,545 and a lethality of 1.3%.

Health personnel applied 34,739 tests for a positivity of 33.2%.

Active cases total 62,918, of which 62,311 are in home isolation and 607 hospitalized.

Patients in isolation are divided into 61,808 at home and 503 in hospital hotels.

Those hospitalized are 552 in the ward and 55 in the Intensive Care Unit.

Starting this Thursday, January 20, until Saturday, January 22, pediatric vaccination will be carried out for children between 5 and 11 years of age, in circuits 8-6 in San Miguelito and in circuits 8-10, which includes Central Panama and East Panama.

The sites authorized for vaccination in the 8-10 circuit are: the Cirilo A. Martínez School in Pedregal, the Presidente Valdés School in Las Garzas, the Ciudad Jardín Las Mañanitas School, the Mega mall on December 24; the Republic of Honduras School and the San Martin School. Vaccination will be carried out on the day from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

While in circuit 8-6 the vaccination points are. Santiago De La Guardia School and Los Andes No.2 School, in the district of Omar Torrijos; the Pedro J. Ameglio School in Rufina Alfaro; Carlos A. Mendoza School in Belisario Porras; There will also be vaccinations at the Andes mall and mega mall, from Monday to Saturday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
