On the afternoon of this Monday, May 16, the Department of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) detailed that in the last hours 1,799 new positive cases were detected and 8,403 tests were carried out, for a positivity of 21.4% and 810,242 accumulated cases of the Covid-19.

According to the Minsa, the areas that registered the most cases for this afternoon are Juan Díaz, Bethania, San Francisco, Rufina Alfaro and Penonomé.
In Panama, 777,907 recovered people are counted, while active cases total 24,129 throughout the country, of which 23,921 are in home isolation and 208 hospitalized.
Those in isolation are divided into 23,874 at home and 47 in hotels, and those hospitalized add up to 176 in the ward and 32 in the ICU.
