mMore than 40 people who tried to enter the country through cruise ships were returned by maintaining alerts for various crimes committed in other countries.
The director of the National Migration Service, Samira Gozaine, pointed out that, to date, 47 alerts have been received with different types of crimes, among which rape and pedophilia stand out, for this reason they have been prevented from entering the country.
Migration capabilities and security systems have been increased in the ports and in the Tocumen airport, which makes it easier to have the biometric maches required to identify these people.
So far this cruise season, some 200,000 people have arrived on Panamanian soil between passengers and crew in the ports of Panama and Colon.
