Carlos Díaz had an excellent pitching job and Alfredo Alderete, Franklin Hernández and Jeremy Sánchez each drove in two runs as the West Panama Vaqueros beat Coclé 12 runs to 3 to take a 2-0 lead in the Youth Baseball Final Series.
The cowboys were never in trouble in the game after taking a clear 7-0 lead with one run in the first, two in the second, two more in the fourth, two dashes in the sixth, while Coclé scored all three of his runs. in the eighth inning, already in the ninth, Panama Oeste closed the game with five more scores to put the final numbers on the scoreboard.
Díaz pitched six solid scoreless innings, three isolated hits, struck out 5 and walked 2 to earn the victory. For Coclé, Xavier Aguilar was charged with the defeat, who could only pitch 1.2 innings allowing three hits and three runs.
The best at bat for the Vaqueros was Alfredo Alderete 5-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored; Franklin Hernández 4-1 with two RBIs and Jeremy Sánchez 5-1 with two RBIs.
