An approximate of 3,219 tourists who have arrived in our country since the 2022-2023 Cruise season began, have been assisted by the units of the Tourism Police Service, who received them to guide them and provide safety recommendations.
Deputy Commissioner Elmer Caballero, National Director of the Environmental, Rural and Tourist Police indicated that this security operation is strengthened with the presence of units in different sectors of interest to travelers, such as Gamboa, Colon Free Zone, the Panama Canal Locks , the Casco Antiguo de Catedral, among other historical and ecological sites that Panama offers.
“For the month of November, the arrival of 28 cruise ships from Europe, Asia and other parts of the world is expected in the ports of Colón 2000 and Amador, where police units specialized in tourism are kept, prepared to serve them and guarantee that their stay is safe,” added Deputy Commissioner Caballero.
The National Police has units with knowledge of the English, French, Portuguese, Italian, German, Chinese and Japanese languages, among others, which allows them to offer adequate attention to tourists.
