The Meritorious Fire Department of Panama, reported that during the year 2021, the emergency most attended by this entity was the presence and/or attacks of Africanized bees, for this reason they issued some recommendations to avoid contact with these insects as much as possible.

Some of the recommendations issued by the Fire Department are: do not approach the swarms and report it to the Fire Department emergency line (103), if attacked, avoid making sudden movements and remain calm, do not use fire or insecticides do not try to catch them, suspend any activity near the swarm and alert the population.
