Panama City Hall joins Urban and Residential Cleaning Authority’s “Hunting the Pig” campaign

The Mayor’s Office of Panama is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Urban and Residential Cleaning Authority, actively participating in the “Cazando al cochino” (Catching the Pig) campaign. This initiative not only seeks to reduce the accumulation of trash in the streets, but also to encourage greater citizen responsibility.

As part of this collaboration, the Mayor’s Office of Panama introduces the “Social Fine” initiative, designed to raise awareness about the importance of keeping public areas clean. Citizens are invited to join this cause through the Instagram account @CochinosPTY_, where they can report and denounce those who are caught littering the streets. This measure not only exposes offenders, but also seeks to generate a profound cultural change through social pressure.

The filthy citizens will be published on our social networks and digital platforms, including Mupis in the capital, so that they do not dirty the public spaces that prevent Panama from shining.

The campaign will also be supported by cleaning companies that are joining the cause, providing the necessary resources to maintain cleanliness in the affected areas.

In addition, the Mayor’s Office and the AAUD have set up an exclusive telephone line 6695-0000 to respond to complaints and hunt down the capital’s scumbags.

The Mayor’s Office of Panama reaffirms its commitment to the community and the environment, calling on all citizens to actively participate in “Cazando al cochino.” With everyone’s help, Panama will shine and become an example of a clean and healthy city for future generations.
