Panama almost reaches 8 million doses of vaccines against Covid-19 applied.

A total of 7,973,884 Vaccines against Covid-19 have been applied in Panama, since the vaccination process began in January 2021, according to the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

According to the PAI of this total they have applied 3,453,594 first doses, 3,043,431 second doses, 10,880 third doses, 678 fourth doses and 1,465,301 booster doses. While Pfizer’s pediatric vaccine has been applied throughout the country 370,264.

The Minsa also reported that for today there were two deaths from Covid-19, for a lethality of 1.1% and a cumulative of 8,174 people.

In the last 24 hours, they detailed that 247 new positive cases were registered, giving a cumulative of 755,893 cases.

They revealed that the active cases total 2,110 while 2,032 people are in home isolation, divided into 2,021 at home and 11 in hotels. Those hospitalized add up to 78, divided into 70 in the ward and 8 in the ICU.
