Luis Cino Álvarez (Havana, 1956) worked as an English teacher, in construction and agriculture. He started working in independent journalism in 1998. Between 2002 and spring 2003 he was on the editorial board of the magazine De Cuba. He was deputy director of Primavera Digital. He has been a regular contributor to CubaNet since 2003. He lives in Arroyo Naranjo. He dreams of being able to devote himself entirely and freely to writing fiction. He is passionate about good books, the sea, jazz and the blues.
