Zepeda stressed that the Court cannot continue to subordinate itself to the Executive and stated that whoever comes to occupy the presidency, replacing Minister Arturo Zaldívar, who will leave office on December 31, must be a minister who complies and enforces the law, in addition to the fact that I acted independently.
“I am respectful of the other Power, the Constitution says that they must decide who to put as president or president. I hope that a person who is not subordinate to the Executive Power and several of them are there. I do not agree that they lead the Court, as long as they do not have an independent and autonomous act”, he commented.
