Members of National Action defend what was voted. Félix Fernando García Aguiar, coordinator of the PAN legislators, affirmed that what was approved is part of a commitment made with the citizens for safety and well-being and that it is not against the virtual governor, Américo Villarreal.
“With the reforms to the Public Security System Coordination Law, the Public Security Law and the Organic Law of the Attorney General’s Office, the parliamentary faction of the PAN strengthens the State Security Institutions, in order to avoid that an alteration to the security policy causes a reversal of the achievements that the State has generated in this matter”, affirmed the legislator.
However, for the Morena coordinator, these modifications have political purposes, otherwise, they should have promoted those modifications years ago.
“If this was so important for this government that is going out, why didn’t they do that super-prosecutor’s office at the beginning of this government, why do it right now, this indicates that it is a shield against the corruption that is being carried out,” asks the coordinator of the deputies of Morena.
The final decision on whether or not to maintain what was approved by the Tamaulipas Congress is in the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), an instance before which actions of unconstitutionality were filed.
