The decision must be added to the call issued by the National Organizing Committee for the Election of the National Executive Committee (Conecen), which will carry out the process to elect the next leader.
The Secretary for the Political Promotion of Women, Laura Esquivel Torres, presented this project to the CEN. She explained that it aims to facilitate the participation of women in the race for the national presidency.

The PAN member explained that if one or more women decide to run and do not reach the required threshold of signatures, the woman who obtains the highest percentage of signatures will be allowed to participate.
“If history has taught us anything, it is that parity and equality are not achieved only with good intentions, but rather require concrete measures and courageous decisions. So by adopting this affirmative action, we are confirming that National Action is a party where women not only have a place, but that their inclusion and participation are essential for our future and to continue being the best option for Mexico,” she said.
