The Complaints and Reports Commission of the National Electoral Institute (INE) resolved that the precautionary measures requested by the parliamentary group of deputies of the National Action Party (PAN) are inadmissible, which asked the body to suspend the acts of President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo related to her first Government Report, which she carried out both in the capital’s Zócalo and in several entities.
The legislators accused it of personalized promotion, untimely dissemination of the Report and improper use of public resources.
In resolving said complaint yesterday, which was presented three days before the act led by the president in the Zócalo of Mexico City, the commission stated that “it constitutes an act consummated in an irreparable manner.” And in response to the request to suspend “possible acts” in the states, he determined that “these are future events of uncertain realization.”
For the members of the commission, with the documentation presented by the PAN representative Laura Cristina Márquez, it is not clear that the acts led by the President have a direct relationship with the promotion of her Government Report, since “they do not comply with the formality and rules established for this purpose in the law.”
This commission, chaired by counselor Arturo Castillo, clarified in a statement that the probable misuse of public resources that the PAN accused in its complaint must be analyzed by the upper chamber of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation.
