PAN and PRD insist that the “failed security strategy” be corrected

Adjustments in 44% of the first circle of the President

Allied against the proposal to reform the transitory article 5 of the Constitution promoted by the PRI, by which the term for the action of the armed forces in public security tasks would be extended until the year 2028, the PAN and the PRD published a statement of reproach to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the actions undertaken during his administration to guarantee security to the population.

Marko Cortés and Jesús Zambrano – who now coincide ideologically – signed five commandments for the opposition parties and reiterated their criticism of the federal president, with a nuance in expressing their total respect for the armed forces.

Unlike what López Obrador promised in the campaign and did not fulfill, neither the PAN nor the PRD are asking for the military to return to the barracks. What we are asking is that the failed security strategy that has increased the levels of violence and insecurity be corrected and that Mexico have a well-paid, equipped and organized national civil police.

Now, the PAN-PRD duo even coincided with the expressions of the Morenoite and PRI national leaders, regarding the fact that the government must do everything necessary to provide security to the people, but always in strict adherence to the Constitution.
